So, the aforementioned Belle and Herb's (utterly spectacular. No, really.) café has closed. Cannee believe it. It's the most utterly ludicrous thing. The café was clearly so popular, always heaving with people and often with queues out in the street.
So, OK, in the grand scheme of things a closed café isn't so headline-worthy, but honestly it was such a genuinely cool and quirky place that it's heartbreaking to see such a one-off be shut down with so little explanation. Ach ach ach.
It's being renamed "Butterfly Cabinet" and, to be fair, it might still be mint. Apparently the original owner isn't involved with the new café, so I don't know how similar it'll be or if it'll look the same as it originally did. I'll try it out and see.
Sorry, I just realised how banal this would be to read if you've never been. It's just made me really sad so I thought I'd write about it. Imagine the coolest café you've ever been to, then times by ten. That was it.

so basically...
I have been absolutely useless for the past couple of weeks. I have only blogged 4 times so far this month (not including this one) with, I have to admit, not even very much interesting in those.
I could jump on the whole "my life is really busy at the moment, guys" wagon, but the truth is it isn't. Or at least it hasn't been until this week, as it is our CU's Events Week, which certainly takes some organising. It's basically a whole week full of events and lunch talks, and it's the culmination of the CU's year and we try to reach as many people as possible on campus.
It's a bloomin' mint week as there is a lo-ot going on and it means you pretty much don't have an hour to spare - but we love it :)
Aside from that I am hopelessly behind on my reading for my course, with no excuse at all - something which I plan to rectify in the next couple of days when there is the occasional lull in events. Determination is, admittedly, low but it will be done. Oh yes.

big glasses, emergency pants, and overly-polished blonde women...
Latest vlog is done - yay! Want to get back into the swing of it after almost 6 WEEKS without laptop. It's gonna be good...
I'm really excited about developing my next roll of film (cracking on with number 5 on the list), I've nearly finished it! I was trying to take some cool in-the-metro shots yesterday, but this bloke at the other end of the platform kept looking over suspiciously at me so I kept surreptitiously hiding the camera back in my bag. Grr. Still, I managed to take a sneaky picture when he wasn't looking...
Excessively excited for Sunday - Tom and Joel are coming to stay and it will be mint. Very very excited.
